A week around Istanbul, Cappadocia and the Aegean
The seven-day Istanbul, Cappadocia, Pamukkale and Ephesus tour includes a Bosphorus lunch cruise and a full free day in Kusadasi. It returns to Istanbul on the final evening; accommodation after that return is separate.
The eight-day route through the same regions includes a final Istanbul hotel night before the departure transfer. It has an Old City morning and a different travel sequence, so it is not simply the seven-day tour with one night added.
These distinctions matter if you are arranging international flights. Compare the last included transfer and hotel night alongside the sightseeing.
Use nine days for the history that interests you
The nine-day route with Gallipoli and Troy combines the battlefields with Ephesus, Pamukkale and Cappadocia. It includes seven guided sightseeing days, so expect a busy programme with travel between regions.
The nine-day Cappadocia and southeast tour takes a different direction. It reaches Nemrut, Gobeklitepe, Karahantepe, Harran, Halfeti and Gaziantep, with two Sanliurfa nights. Choose it for those sites rather than the western ancient cities.
More days, or fewer stops?
If the places you want already fill the week, another region may take away the free time you wanted. Look for consecutive nights and complete days without intercity travel. Antalya also needs explicit free time if your aim is a coastal pause.
Read our seven-versus-ten-day Turkey itinerary comparison to weigh nights and connections. Then browse the 10–14 day packages if the longer route gives your priorities more room.
Good to know
Is one week enough for a first trip to Turkey?
A week can cover selected regions with an organised itinerary. Choose your priorities and compare the travel between them. Fewer destinations may suit you better if you want longer stays or more independent time.
What is the difference between a seven-day and a nine-day Turkey tour?
A longer package may add a region, sightseeing or free time. Compare where the extra nights fall; a nine-day route is not automatically a slower version of a seven-day tour.
Can I see Istanbul, Cappadocia, Ephesus and Pamukkale in a week?
The collection includes week-long combinations of these places. Expect a structured schedule with intercity connections. Compare the full sightseeing time, especially in Istanbul, before adding more activities.
Can a seven- to nine-day package include Gallipoli and Troy?
Yes. Check the named battlefield stops, Troy visit and onward route. Discuss a personal commemoration or a specific memorial before choosing a standard itinerary.
Should I add Antalya to a one-week Turkey itinerary?
Choose it if the coast or Antalya excursions are priorities. Check that the programme gives them useful time. For relaxation, look for a free day rather than counting an overnight as a coastal break.
Do these packages have free days?
Some do. Check the daily itinerary and distinguish a free afternoon from a full day without transfers. Request changes before booking if the published schedule has more guided days than you want.
How should I plan flights around a week-long package?
These routes currently start and finish in Istanbul. Confirm the first pickup and final drop-off, plus any domestic flight on the last day, before booking separate international travel.
