Gallipoli tours explore the landscape of the 1915 campaign through battlefield stops, cemeteries and memorials. ANZAC-focused routes name places such as ANZAC Cove, Lone Pine and Chunuk Bair. Cape Helles programmes cover another sector of the peninsula.

Compare the stopping list rather than assuming every tour covers the same ground. If a particular grave or memorial matters to you, share the name and location before booking. A standard route may need a different arrangement to allow that visit.

Start from Istanbul or Canakkale

A day trip from Istanbul includes a substantial road journey. Read the pickup, battlefield programme and return together when deciding whether it fits your day.

A Canakkale departure suits travellers already staying in the area. Compare the meeting point, any crossing and the route itself. A half-day local visit and a full-day Istanbul trip have different transport needs; duration alone does not tell you the time at the memorials.

Combine Gallipoli and Troy over two days

Troy adds a separate archaeological visit to the battlefield journey. Compare short overnight packages by the hotel location and visit order. Some return to Istanbul while others continue towards the Aegean and Ephesus.

Plan for the visit you intend to make

Expect time outdoors and some uneven or sloping ground. Ask about the walking beyond vehicle stops if mobility or standing is a concern. Allow quiet time at cemeteries and tell us in advance if you want to locate a particular name.

Yes. Compare the full road journey, battlefield visits and return in the day-tour itinerary. An overnight package may suit you better if you also want to visit Troy or spend more time in the area.

Check the named stops on your chosen programme. Routes cover different sectors and allow different time at each stop. Confirm any essential memorial before booking.

What does a Cape Helles tour add to an ANZAC-focused visit?

Cape Helles covers another sector of the peninsula. Compare programmes that name both sectors if you want a wider view of the campaign; choose a focused route for a specific interest or memorial visit.

Can I visit a relative's grave or memorial during the tour?

Share the name, unit and known grave or memorial location before booking. We can assess whether the standard route allows the visit or whether a different arrangement is needed.

Is a Gallipoli and Troy package a good overnight option?

Yes, if you want both battlefield history and archaeology. Check the visit order, overnight location and final destination; some packages continue south rather than returning to Istanbul.

Does a Gallipoli tour include entry to ANZAC Day commemorations?

How much walking is involved at Gallipoli?
