Pergamon rises above Bergama on a hill lined with temple terraces and steep theatre seats. Walk through its upper city with a guide, from the marble columns of Trajan’s temple to the library remains and Great Altar foundations. The hillside setting is as much a part of the visit as the monuments.
Join from Kusadasi, Selcuk or central Izmir, with acropolis admission and return hotel transport included. The usual Kusadasi schedule is around 08:00–18:00; timings vary by hotel location. After the ruins, stop in Bergama to choose and pay for lunch.
If your next stop is Istanbul and you are leaving Kusadasi or Selcuk, the 2-day Pergamon, Troy and Gallipoli journey to Istanbul adds one Canakkale hotel night and continues north instead of returning to your starting hotel.
